Join Alzheimer’s Tennessee for a morning information session to better understand Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Expert presenters educate and inspire participants on the medical and legal issues facing families living with the disease. You'll also learn practical strategies on how to care for those with dementia while taking care of yourself.
An Overview of Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias: Barbara Levin, MD is a family medicine specialist in Vonore, TN and has been practicing for 42 years. She graduated from the University of California in 1976 and specializes in family medicine, public health & general preventive medicine, and more.
Dementia and the Law: What You Need to Know: Kelly Frere, CELA, of Guyton & Frere was certified as an elder law specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization in 1998. She will address important issues caregivers need to be aware of when caring for a person with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Practical Suggestions for the Alzheimer’s Caregiver: Cheryl Blanchard, LMSW, with Alzheimer’s Tennessee is a licensed social worker, life coach and dementia care specialist. She speaks frequently on Alzheimer’s disease and is passionate about equipping caregivers to both care for their loved one and themselves.
