Karen Stobbe has a passion for teaching innovative and successful care giving strategies to help individuals with dementia live in the moment. She is co-developer of the “Hand in Hand” video that was produced by CMS and is distributed to every nursing facility in the country. Her Father and Mother are her inspirations for so desperately wanting to educate the world by bringing her unique perspective to the audience.
Karen will lead family and professional caregivers through a full day of education and encouragement.

Objective: The purpose of Alzheimer's Tennessee, Inc.'s Caregiver Training series is to educate professional and family caregivers on Alzheimer's disease and give useful information concerning dementia care. After completing the training, the participant should have:
- A better understanding of the disease, its process and available treatments.
- Practical tips for caring for the individual with dementia.
- Legal issues as they relate to caring for someone with dementia.
Cost: The full-day training will include all handouts as well as lunch. Conference fees are $25 for family care partners and $45 for professional care partners. Professional fee includes 6 CEUs for administrators of residential homes for the aged as well as assisted living facility administrators and 5 CEUs for social workers.
